Guest apartments
The apartment is shared among guests of MDU. To ensure that everyone can enjoy their stay, there are a few rules to follow.

Housing information
Keys
Keys can be picked up at our office at Stora gatan 38, from the starting date of your lease. Keys can only be picked up during office hours. Remember to bring identification/passport.
moving in
These accommodations are exclusively for guests of Mälardalen University. There is no room inspection before you move in. We trust that the previous guest has left the housing in a clean and tidy condition. If something is not working in the accommodation, please send an email to info@bostadvasteras.se
Furniture
The apartment comes with basic furniture, but tenants are required to bring their own sheets and towels. Kitchen utensils and cutlery are provided within the apartment.
You can purchase a linen package when picking up the keys.
Payment
Around 3-4 weeks before your move-in date, you will receive a contract via email to sign digitally. The contract will also include payment details. Please note that the payment must be received in the Bostad Västerås account before you can pick up the keys.
Cleaning and Rules
Kitchen
You are required to wash the dishes after using them. Keep in mind that you are sharing the apartment with other people.
Livingroom
Please put away the items you have used and store them in your room. This area is meant to be shared between tenants.
Your room
Keep the room tidy and don’t move around the furniture. The room should look the same for the next tenant as it did for you.
Trash
Remember to empty the trash. If you have bought something in a bigger package, you need to go to ”återbruket” and throw it away there.
Cleaning
Cleaning company
Once a month (around the middle) a cleaning company will enter the apartment to clean the kitchen, bathroom and livingroom. They will only clean the open surfaces and not the cabinets. You still need to clean and wash your dishes.
Moving out
When you move out, you are required to clean your room. Please make sure to remove all of your belongings from the apartment, even if you think they could be useful to the next tenant.
