Continue staying in Student Housing
Contracts per semester
All contracts are valid for one semester. If you wish to continue your stay in a student housing we will assist you in getting a new housing offer. More information will be provided to you. A housing enquiry will be sent to you in March (for the spring semester) and in October (for the autumn semester). The enquiry will be sent via email.
Continue staying in Student housing
To continue living in student housing, please follow the instructions below.
- 1Create a new registration
Create a new registration on our website, here. And upload your student certificate under My Pages.
How to register. - 2Send the form
Send an email to info@bostadvasteras.se with the completed form.
- 3Accept the new housing offer and sign the new lease agreement
After this, we will send you a housing offer.
If you apply for the same apartment, you can accept the offer by clicking “Yes” under My Pages.
If you choose to apply for a different apartment, a new brokerage fee and deposit must be paid in order to accept the new housing offer.
Once the offer is accepted, we will send you the new lease agreement by email. The agreement will be signed electronically via e-signing.
Prolong during summer months
If you have stayed in your housing for one semester you have the possibility to prolong the lease until the end of June rent free.
If you have stayed in your accommodation for two semesters you have the possibility to prolong the lease until the end of July rent free.
How to prolong the lease during summer months:
- 1E-mail
Send an email to info@bostadvasteras.se with the departure form and the information that you wish to prolong the lease during the summer (until end of June or July). State your leaving date in the Moving out form.
- 2Sign
Sign the prolonged lease agreement that we will send to you by email.
- 3Moving out
Please make sure to read the moving-out email thoroughly and book a time for an inspection if needed. This will help ensure everything is in order before you leave.
How can I get my preferred housing option?
We will send out new offers in the same order that we have received your completed form (provided that your registration on our website is complete). In other words, the sooner you submit your form to us, the better your chances of receiving the accommodation you prefer.
Please be very specific when stating your preferences in your registration, as we take this into account when sending new offers.
If you request the same accommodation that you have lived in during the most recent semester, you will be given priority for an offer for that specific housing.
To apply for a Swedish lease agreement, the criteria are that you must have a Swedish personal number and have lived under a lease agreement in Sweden for at least one year.
How to accept the new offer
If you apply for the same accommodation that you are currently living in, your existing deposit will remain in place. In this case, you simply accept the offer by clicking “Yes” under My Pages.
If you receive an offer for a new accommodation, a brokerage fee of SEK 3 000 and a deposit of SEK 2 000 must be paid in order to accept the new housing offer.
Housing change
If you apply for a different accommodation for the upcoming semester, the change will take effect on August 1 for the autumn semester.
We will therefore extend your current housing contract until July 31 and send you a new lease agreement for the new accommodation starting on August 1.
